Conor McGregor Is Basically Taunting Russell Westbrook With His Fashion Game

It’s NBA Playoff time, which means it’s also time for Russell Westbrook to take his fashion sense to the moon and put budding style icon, Conor McGregor, back in his rightful place.

With the bright lights of the 2017 NBA Playoffs right around the corner, we can all expect to be treated to a special array of ridiculous fashion statements from Russell Westbrook. And thanks to Conor McGregor and a stirring string of recent Instagram posts, there’s a damn good chance Russ will put in an extra effort to touch new, unfounded stars; even by his hypnotic standards.

Exhibit A, a scintillating still that comes thanks to the fine people at More Than Stats.

So let’s see what we have here: A Louis Vuitton animal print shirt with approximately zero buttons fastened, Gucci flip-up sunglasses, a fierce and glorious watch that — whether it’s an AP or not — must have cost him at least $50,000, and of course, a drink in hand.

Oops, I almost forgot about the gold chain.

Yeah, Mistuh’ McGreguh’ has absolutely put his footprint into the sports fashion landscape with extra gusto.

Is Russ taking notes yet?

Oh, and I did I mention the bottle of Grey Goose?

Because there’s also a bottle of Grey Goose.

Yeeeeeeah.

Although admittedly, since Conor seems to get a Rodman-like free pass when it comes to his amusing excessiveness, Russ would probably get roasted by the media for a severe “lack of focus” had he done the same thing.

Nonetheless, the point remains. It is now most certainly your move, Russell Westbrook.

The flip-up glasses in particular almost feel like a direct and very personal challenge to Mr. Triple Double.

Plus, as previously mentioned, it’s NBA Playoff time!

Much like the games themselves — see Golden State series, 2016 — you just never know what you’re getting from Russ.

Good Russ, Bad Russ, Whatever Russ. Any version will do.

The soon to be NBA MVP and the Thunder will face off against James Harden, James Harden’s beard, and the Rockets in Round 1.
