NHL playoffs 2017: Oilers vs. Sharks TV schedule

The Edmonton Oilers will face a tough first round test against the San Jose Sharks in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Here’s a full television schedule for the series. 

In the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks will square off. The two Pacific Division rivals are teams going in opposite directions. Edmonton is quickly rising thanks to the stellar play of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Cam Talbot. Meanwhile, the Sharks are looking for one last deep playoff run, hoping to win a Stanley Cup with Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau.

The Oilers are back in the postseason for the first time since the 2005-06 season. After years of squandering lottery picks, they finally nailed one in McDavid. The sophomore center is the only center to reach the 100 point milestone this season. He’s expected to win the Hart Trophy. Talbot has been much better in goal this season than he was last season. He’s gotten comfortable with Edmonton’s system and it’s showing. They went 3-1-1 this season against the Sharks.

On the other side of the ice, San Jose looks to build on last season’s Stanley Cup Finals appearance. However, they face a speedy, skilled team in Edmonton. The Sharks aren’t built to stop speed. They’ll have to rely on their stellar defense and physical play to try to slow them down.
