MLB DFS Value Plays for DraftKings and FanDuel April 26th
I’ll be looking to uncover the most obvious MLB DFS Value Plays on each slate, and each site. Value plays will generally consist of under-priced players, or players priced differently on a given site. Some values will be in play on both sites, some will only be values on one specific site. Note that value tends to carry higher ownership and may be worth a fade in specific GPP contests.
Tonight’s slate features 12 games, with Colorado (5.9), Washington (5.8), Arizona (5.4), and Texas (5), holding the best projected teal totals. With expensive batters from Colorado and Washington available, finding value will be critical to success. Here are a handful of value plays on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
DraftKings MLB Values:

Jedd Gyorko – STL (2B/3B) – $3400
St. Louis will take on Toronto again tonight, and they currently have a projected team total of 4.7 runs. Jedd Gyorko should bat clean up and will benefit from facing the righty, Mat Latos. Gyorko holds fairly neutral splits, but his power numbers increase substantially when facing a righty. He currently holds a .355 wOBA split and a .294 ISO split. Gyorko should offer power upside, at depleted ownership and price.
A.J. Pollock – ARI (OF) – $4200
A.J. Pollock will lead off for the D-Backs tonight and while he’s facing a righty, he should be considered, given his pricing relative to FanDuel and Arizona’s team total of 5.4 runs. Pollock has seen improvement in his batted ball stats, indicating that he may be trending in the right direction. In the last 15 days, his distance is up 5 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 7%, and his exit velocity is up 1 MPH, over his yearly average. It’s forecasted to be above 80 degrees in Arizona, which should also help any of Pollock’s batted balls.
FanDuel MLB Values:

Noah Syndergaard – NYM (P) – $11,500
Noah Syndergaard is one of the elite arms throwing tonight. If you’re looking to get exposure to him, I’d suggest fitting him in on FanDuel where he’s a significant bargain relative to DraftKings.

Thor showed tremendous resiliency in his last outing where he didn’t have his best “stuff” and was still able to record 10 strikes outs. Syndergaard has a K/9 of 10.49 and I have him projected at roughly 7 to 8 strikeouts tonight (near the top on the slate). Vegas seems to agree and has the Atlanta team total at just 2.7 runs, the lowest on the slate by a solid margin.
Dexter Fowler – STL (OF) – $3000
Dextar Fowler is one the better bargain batters on FanDuel tonight, priced at only $3000. Fowler has seen a jump in his batted ball stats of late and this could be a sign of good things to come. In the last 15 days, his distance is up 11 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 11% and his exit velocity is up 3 MPH from his yearly average.
Fowler also offers stolen base upside against the righty, Mat Latos. Latos allowed 16 stolen bases last year and if Russell Martin is behind the dish tonight, Fowler would have an even greater probability of swiping a bag. Last year, in 72 total stolen base attempts, 61 runners (or 85%) successfully earned a stolen base off of Martin.
