MLB DFS Value Plays for DraftKings and FanDuel April 28th
Iāll be looking to uncover the most obvious MLB DFS Value Plays on each slate, and each site. Value plays will generally consist of under-priced players, or players priced differently on a given site. Some values will be in play on both sites, some will only be values on one specific site. Note that value tends to carry higher ownership and may be worth a fade in specific GPP contests.
Tonightās slate features 15 games, with Cleveland (5.3), Arizona (5.1), and Los Angeles (5), holding the best projected team totals. With expensive pitchers in play tonight, finding value will be critical to success. Here are a handful of value plays on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
DraftKings MLB Values:

Tyler Collins ā DET (OF) ā $2700
Detroit will host the visiting Chicago White Sox and are projected to score 4.8 runs. With injuries plaguing the Tigers, Tyler Collins has seen an increased opportunity, batting second. Collins should be batting second tonight and will draw a favorable split against the righty, Mike Pelfrey. Collins is much better against righties, with a .343 wOBA split and a .167 ISO split. More importantly, Collinsā batted ball numbers have seen a significant jump of late. In the last 15 days, his distance is up 23 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 14%, and his exit velocity is up 4 MPH.

Justin Turner ā LAD (3B) ā $3400
Justin Turner is extremely underpriced on FanDuel, relative to DraftKings. Turner will face a righty tonight, where he holds an impressive .397 wOBA split and a .262 ISO split. Turner has seen a significant price decrease, as he was priced up close to $4000 earlier this month.
A.J. Pollock ā ARI (OF) ā $4200
Arizona holds one of the best projected team totals on the slate, of 5.1 runs. While Pollock is by no means cheap, if youāre looking to get exposure to the Arizona leadoff hitter, consider rostering him on DraftKings over FanDuel. Pollock has a unique combination of power upside and stolen base upside and is always a threat to put up a big night.
FanDuel MLB Values:

Carlos Correa ā HOU (SS) ā $3600
Francisco Lindor may be the chalk at short stop tonight, so Carlos Correa could make for an excellent bargain pivot. Correa is priced down on FanDuel and appears to be trending back in the right direction after his recent lull. In the last 15 days his batted ball distance is up 51 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 3%, and his exit velocity is up 3 MPH, over his yearly average. A warm 80+ degree night in Houston may provide some additional help.
Kole Calhoun ā LAA (OF) ā $2600
Kole Calhoun is a steal on FanDuel, where heās only $2600. Calhoun was priced up around $3000 earlier this month, and will now offer value at a cheap price on a night where the Angels hold the third best projected team total. Calhoun will bat second and should be able to reach value if he can get on base, and if the big bats of the Angels can drive him in.
