The latest iteration of the routinely successful Air Jordan 11 is the Retro Low “Baron” colorway. Based upon Nike’s most recent release of the XIs, these won’t exactly be easy to snatch up.
Last month, Nike and Jordan Brand released an exceptionally clean version of the Air Jordan Retro 11 Lows in white and Carolina Blue, a combination that proved to be lethal because I’m pretty sure the shoes were gone after the second time I hit ‘refresh’.
But let’s be honest, almost any release of the Jordan 11s are a roaring success. When you throw in some classic MJ nostalgia — in that case, the UNC connect — it becomes a true no-brainer.
This time around will be no different, as the Retro Low “Baron” pays homage to Michael Jordan’s storied stint in minor league baseball with the Birmingham Barons after getting kicked out of briefly retiring from the NBA.
With that unique sentiment tied into an already glorious shoe, you just can’t lose.
What really puts these over the top for me — in a good way — is the smokey mix of black and gray to the patent leather portion of the shoe.

Otherwise, had it just been a hit of solid black, this one would be easy to pass up and ignore.
But this?

Come on, Nike. You’re killin’ me.

In case you’re curious as to what these will look like on actual feet, Foot Locker is here to help.
Just do your best to ignore the socks, which make a clear and blatant attempt to steal the show.
It’s a lot harder than it sounds, trust me.

*****SNEAKER NOTE*****
Not ashamed to admit I was dead wrong on the Jordan IV “Pure Money” release. So dead wrong that I’m writing this from the earth’s inner core.
So… plenty of sizes still available! In fact, EVERY SIZE is still available.
