Confederations Cup 2017: Full group stage schedule

The Confederations Cup begins on Saturday, June 17. Here’s the full group stage schedule for the tournament.

The 2017 Confederations Cup is a quadrennial tournament that acts as a precursor to the World Cup. The competition will be held in Russia, and it will be their first time hosting the tournament in its history. The group stage begins on Saturday, June 17 and consists of eight teams in two separate groups.

The first match of the tournament is Russia vs. New Zealand. Russia are making their first appearance in the competition. New Zealand have qualified for the tournament three times before 2017, the last being in 2009, when they only secured a single point in the group stage; a 0-0 draw with Iraq. This match will be played in Saint Petersburg stadium.

The last match of the group stage will take place on Sunday, June 25. Chile, who are also making their debut in the tournament, will face Australia, who are making their fourth Confederations Cup appearance. The contest will take place at Spartak Stadium in Moscow.

The rest of the matches take place in between June 17 and 25. Group A consists of Russia, New Zealand, Portugal and Mexico. Group B contains Cameroon, Chile, Germany and Australia. Here are the two full group stage schedules (all times in ET):

Group A

Saturday, June 17: 11 a.m. – Russia vs. New Zealand

Sunday, June 18: 11 a.m. – Portugal vs. Mexico

Wednesday, June 21: 11 a.m. – Russia vs. Portugal

Wednesday, June 21: 2 p.m. – Mexico vs. New Zealand

Saturday, June 24: 11 a.m. – Mexico vs. Russia

Saturday, June 24: 11 a.m. – New Zealand vs. Portugal

Group B

Sunday, June 18: 2 p.m. – Cameroon vs. Chile

Monday, June 19: 11 a.m. – Australia vs. Germany

Thursday, June 22: 11 a.m. – Cameroon vs. Australia

Thursday, June 22: 2 p.m. – Germany vs. Chile

Sunday, June 25: 11 a.m. – Germany vs. Cameroon

Sunday, June 25: 11 a.m. – Chile vs. Australia
