MLB Draft 2017: Complete first round order
By John McCarty
The 2017 MLB Draft has a few unique player story lines to follow. Here’s the complete draft order.
The 2017 MLB Draft begins Monday, as all 30 major league teams look to add some elite talent to round out, or improve, their rosters.
The two big names to keep an eye on ahead of the 2017 MLB Draft are Louisville’s Brendan McKay and California high school standout Hunter Greene. McKay and Greene are not only both good enough on the mound to merit a high pick, but also excellent position players. McKay plays first, while Greene is a short stop, and both will be highly coveted by the teams at the top of the draft order.
Houston pitcher Seth Romero also has immense talent, but faced off field problems with his school and team and was suspended and later dismissed. His draft position is a mystery entering the draft. The Twins, who had the worst record in baseball last season but currently lead the American League Central, will pick first.
The MLB Draft begins Monday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. ET. The first two rounds will take place Monday, followed by round three through 10 on Tuesday. The final 10 rounds will take place on Wednesday, June 14.
