5 teams to root for now that rooting for the Knicks is (still) misery

1. Steam because it has the word “team” in it

If you can’t root for a specific team, maybe root for a really big distraction. You can have almost any distraction you want. Did you know the Steam Summer Sale is going on right now? Great deals on great games from RPGs to FPS’s and even things involving zombies! Did you know they make video games where you can fight zombies now? What a time to be alive! What a horrible time to be undead and made of pixels! Wow!

Now, it’s worth noting that you can also buy NBA2K on Steam. I recommend avoiding that as it might only lead to more pain. Even in fictional worlds, the Knicks do exist. That’s a reminder we want to avoid.

As such, I recommend steering clear of the following games:

Anything involving golf – Golf involves balls, and basketballs are also balls, and that could trigger a relapse. It’s not worth the risk of making that association.
Tycoon City: New York – I’ve never played this, but if you can’t run down Madison Square Garden with a Bulldozer, it might just be one more thing trapping you in your current fandom.
Escape from New York – You can get movies on Steam too! While this title seems to empathize with your current situation, this movie involves Kurt Russell and as such must be avoided.

My recommendation with Steam Team is to do whatever you want as long as it isn’t what you’re currently doing. There are options. There are always options. Fandom is a choice, and now it’s time to make a better one.
