Andre Iguodala has officially re-signed with the Golden State Warriors. The new deal is for three years worth a total of $45 million.
Andre Iguodala isn’t going anywhere. The reinging champion Warriors weren’t about to let their most important bench piece walk away during free agency.
Iggy, the former Finals MVP back in 2015, will return to the Bay Area for at least three more years.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the news:
Andre Iguodala has agreed to deal to return to Warriors, sources say. https://t.co/xImvgcC9gu

Shams Charania of the Vertical also added the details of the contract. It was reported a few weeks ago that Iguodala was going to re-up with the Warriors heading into the offseason. This deal is only possible because Kevin Durant was willing to take less than a max contract.
The man himself seems thrilled to be returning to Oakland. Maybe he was the source in the agreement (insert thinking emoji here!)
Sources close to Andre Iguodala reporting agreed to terms to return to the bay....

Tim Kawakami of The Mercury News had the following two weeks ago:
"“Iguodala has already indicated that his negotiation is almost already done and that he will re-sign with the Warriors, though I’m sure there are still deal points to be finalized.Months ago a source indicated to me that the only real issue to be worked out was the number of guaranteed years.”"

Iguodala, 33, averaged 7.2 points per game during this past postseason. The Warriors will bring the band back together, including giving Steph Curry the richest contract in NBA history. With Shaun Livingston and David West also back in the fold, Golden State figures to be prohibitive favorites heading into next season. Iggy also took meetings with the Spurs and Rockets before deciding to return to the Warriors, his most likely choice to add a third championship.
