Andre Iguodala isn’t going anywhere. Iggy has reportedly agreed to forgo free agency and re-sign with the Warriors.

Kevin Durant is reportedly willing to accept less than a max deal meaning the Warriors will bring the band back together next season. Fresh off a championship, the Warriors have already convinced another one of their impending free agents to stick around for the long haul. Andre Iguodala isn’t going anywhere and has apparently agreed to a contract extension with the Warriors.

Tim Kawakami of The Mercury News had the following:

"“Iguodala has already indicated that his negotiation is almost already done and that he will re-sign with the Warriors, though I’m sure there are still deal points to be finalized.Months ago a source indicated to me that the only real issue to be worked out was the number of guaranteed years.”"

This deal with Iggy is only possible because Kevin Durant is willing to take the Non-Bird exception this offseason rather than a full max deal. Durant will only lose approximately $3.5 million but gives the Warriors the flexibility to retain Iguodala and Shaun Livingston at any price because Golden State can use bird rights on them instead of Durant. Ian Clark is also an impending restricted free agent but it’s unclear how far the Warriors front office is willing to go into the luxury tax to keep everyone.

Iguodala, 33, averaged 7.2 points per game this postseason as a key member of the Warriors bench. Iggy has helped Golden State win the NBA Finals two of the past three years including winning Finals MVP during the 2014-15 championship run.

The Hawks, Suns, and Timberwolves expressed interest in him heading into his inevitable free agency but will stick with the Warriors instead. Iguodala can’t officially sign a deal until July 6 because of NBA rules so he could theoretically change his mind if a team offers an albatross deal.
