We already know that both Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will cash in on this Saturday’s super fight, but with a little luck and the right wager, you can too.

Floyd Mayweather’s showdown with UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is attracting plenty of action as bettors look to use their knowledge to back the winning boxer. While Mayweather is the obvious favorite heading into his final bout and was listed as high as a -2500 moneyline favorite at some sportsbooks before the fight became official, the masses have been putting their money on McGregor.

According to recent reports, a unbelievable 95 percent of all tickets and 85 percent of all of the money that’s been wagered on this fight has been placed on McGregor. That trend says everything you need to know about the Irishman’s popularity. But if McGregor shocks the world and defeats Mayweather, this fight will be a complete financial disaster for sportsbooks.

While speaking to ESPN this past weekend, William Hill director of trading Nick Bogdanovich summed up the situation that Sportsbooks are currently facing.

“All I know is were less than a week away from making a lot of money or getting [clobbered],” said Bogdanovich.

Thus far, former Sacramento Kings’ owners Joe and Gavin Maloof have made what is widely believed to be the fight’s largest single wager, placing $880, 000 on Mayweather to win at -550 at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
