The Penn State Nittany Lions will begin their defense of their Big Ten Championship on Saturday afternoon against the Akron Zips.
After winning the Big Ten Championship in 2016, the Penn State Nittany Lions have big hopes heading into 2017. The program is on the rise and they feature one of the most talented running backs in the country, Saquon Barkley. On Saturday, they begin their slate of games.
The Nittany Lions will host the Akron Zips at home. Akron is coming off of a 5-7 season in the MAC and are hoping to see a win or two added to their resume to compete in a bowl game later on this year.
