Week 3 NFL DFS – Top Defense and Kicker Picks

If the bottom of your NFL DFS lineups needs a boost based on your Sunday  performance the last few weeks, look no further than these Week 3 NFL DFS Defensive and Kicker plays. These key picks look for the perfect match-ups to exploit to build the basis for a strong lineup (or makes up for some misses that may be found near the top of your picks).

Week 3 NFL DFS: Top Week 3 Defensive Teams:

Philadelphia Eagles:

It can’t get any better for Week 3 NFL DFS plays than the Eagles defense that is near the top of the league in both sacks and quarterback hits (as well as presumably hurries) at home against the Giants. Given the noted issues that the Giants offensive line has had in both of its contests as well as the pressure that the Eagles put on Kirk Cousins in Week 1, I think that the Eagles have a chance to be near the top in terms of points this week.

Los Angeles Rams:

While everyone seems to be stacking Week 3 DFS defenses against the Bengals and Jets, they seem to forget that the San Francisco 49ers have not yet scored a touchdown on offense and have an abysmal passing offense. The Rams have Aaron Donald as well as a chip on their shoulder after a loss to the Redskins this past week. Look for Los Angeles to force a turnover or two as they impose themselves on a 49ers team that hasn’t shown anything in the first two weeks.

Week 3 NFL DFS: Top Week 3 Kickers:

Graham Gano, Carolina Panthers

DFS plays often come down to matchups, and it would be hard to believe that the Panthers offense can easily be stopped by the Saints in Week 3. I understand they were in a low scoring game last week, but playing against arguably the worst defense in the league will help Gano rack up the kicks. Gano hasn’t missed any field goals yet, and I don’t expect he will this week either

Ryan Succop, Tennessee Titans

Sometimes, you have to go against the grain and look for lower ownership options. Playing against the Seattle Seahawks, Succop, who has scored well the first two weeks, the Titans may find themselves trying to kick a few field goals against a squad that gave up three last week. His salary should be the minimum this week and he provides an opportunity for Week 3 DFS owners to fade top options and save $400 or $500 on their kicker.
