Liverpool travel to Leicester to take on the Foxes on Saturday. Leicester are winless in their last three Premier League matches, but beat Liverpool midweek 2-0 in the League Cup. Liverpool have had a very strange run of Premier League fixtures. They beat Arsenal 4-0, lost to Manchester City 5-0 and drew with Burnley 1-1.
Liverpool’s hot and cold streaks thus far in the season haven’t been the most surprising thing in the world. Their defensive miscues and ineffectiveness haven’t filled fans with confidence as the team look to maintain their spot in the top four. The attack remains dangerous but will be without key man Sadio Mane on Saturday as he served the final match of a three-game ban for kicking City keeper Ederson in the face.

Leicester have had a far worse season, and are in 15th place in the Premier League table coming into the weekend. They’ve been plenty effective on offense, scoring seven goals thus far, but defensively have been as bad as Liverpool, giving up nine goals so far this season. In their defense, they’ve had a very difficult run of fixtures, including matches against Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea, but they drew with Huddersfield last time out.
