Manchester City return to their home field after three away fixtures. However, they have shown no trouble on the road. They beat Feyenoord 4-0 in Champions League group stage play and Watford 6-0 in Premier League play last weekend. Before that, Manchester City defeated Liverpool 5-0 at home.

Needless to say, City are clicking on all cylinders in every aspect of play. The addition of Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy has rounded out a defense that’s given up just three goals since Aug. 12. The midfield, led by Kevin De Bruyne, is doing a beautiful job setting up chances for the forwards in the early going this season. Finally, the pairing of Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero has proved deadly to opposing defenses. There is no reason that Manchester City shouldn’t be able to breeze through this Crystal Palace side.
On the other hand, Crystal Palace haven’t quite found their best form early in this campaign. The club’s two wins since Aug. 12 came in League Cup play, against Ipswich Town and Huddersfield. They are the only team in the Premier League to not yet have earned a point. If they continue at this level of play, Crystal Palace will be relegated. Something will need to change if they want to compete against Manchester City. Palace are missing a number of important players, including Wilfried Zaha.
