The New Mexico Lobos will face off against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Saturday. Here’s how to watch this college football offensive showdown online.
The New Mexico Lobos hope to turn around their season as they play Tulsa. Kickoff from Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday will be at 1:30 p.m. ET. ESPN3 will have the telecast. The available live stream will be on WatchESPN.
New Mexico needs a confidence boost after an underwhelming first three weeks of the season. After beating Abilene Christian in Week 1, they lost to New Mexico State and Boise State the past two weekends. Lamar Jordan hasn’t played his best in the early going. He is completing 57.9 percent of his passes for 328 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. He took a vicious hit and had to be helped off the field in the loss to Boise State near the end of the first half. Tevaka Tuioti threw two touchdowns after Jordan left the game.

Their ground game has been much more effective in moving the team down the field. New Mexico is averaging 211 yards on the ground per game. Their defense has been lackluster at best in three games. They are allowing 24 points and 348.7 yards per game. This New Mexico team has potential, they just need to play their best. If they do that, the Lobos could upset Tulsa and compete in Mountain West play.

Tulsa is in the same boat as New Mexico. The Golden Hurricane are 1-2, but their loss has been much more admirable. They lost by 35 on the road against Oklahoma State, who is currently ranked No. 6 in the country. Tulsa then beat Louisiana Lafayette in an offensive battle by a 66-42 score. After that, they lost 54-51 on the road against Toledo. This would be an important victory to give them confidence going into play in the American Athletic Conference.
Quarterback Chad President hasn’t been the most accurate, completing just 58.7 percent of his passes, but he’s thrown for 546 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Like New Mexico, Tulsa’s ground game is the highlight of their offense. They average an astonishing 363.6 yards running per game. D’Angelo Brewer has been outstanding with 447 yards and four touchdowns on 98 carries. The Tulsa defense, on the other hand, is one of the worst in the country. They are allowing an average of 51.7 points and 638.3 yards per game. Tulsa should be able to beat this New Mexico team and work on improving some of their weaknesses.

Tulsa should win this contest with ease on their home field against New Mexico. However, if their defense is as mediocre as usual, the Lobos could upset the Golden Hurricane.
