ATLANTA, GA - OCTOBER 01: Matt Ryan

The Atlanta Falcons will host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in Week 6. Here is the game preview, the betting odds and a final score prediction.

Week 6 of the 2017 NFL season is upon us. One game taking place between two southeastern NFL franchises will feature the Miami Dolphins (2-2) and the Atlanta Falcons (3-1).

Kickoff from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be at 1:00 p.m. ET on Oct. 15. CBS will have the early afternoon telecast with Greg Gumbel and Trent Green in the booth to call the game. The available live streams can be found on NFL.com and on FuboTV.

Both teams have played four games. Miami is 2-2 with wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tennessee Titans. The Dolphins have lost games to the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets. Atlanta is 3-1 on the year with wins over the Chicago Bears, the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. The Falcons’ lone loss is to the Buffalo Bills. Atlanta is coming off its bye week.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Atlanta -12
Moneylines: Atlanta -784, Miami +553
Over/Under: 46.5

According to SportsBook Review, the Falcons will be laying 12 points at home to the visiting Dolphins. The associated moneylines for this game are Atlanta -784 and Miami +553. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 46.5 points.

Normally, you would want to take the over in a dome game involving the high-flying Falcons’ offense. However, this offense isn’t quite up to speed just yet with Steve Sarkisian as its new offensive coordinator. We also need to factor in that the Dolphins just struggle to score points.

This one could be a rout in favor of the Falcons, but Miami’s offensive inefficiencies could have this one going under the 46.5 points put out there by Las Vegas. As for the spread, well, let’s just say this week should be one where the Falcons get their fourth win.

Atlanta is coming off a bye week and a home loss. The Falcons have had that tough loss to the Bills lingering in their minds for two weeks. While the Dolphins have two wins, they have been one of the worst looking teams in the early part of the season. They have had a myriad of distractions, some self-inflicted and others not.

The Falcons keep their issues in-house under head coach Dan Quinn. Atlanta is not a perfect team but should get back to its winning ways with a dominating performance of the Dolphins on Sunday. The Falcons win and cover the 12-point spread.

Prediction: Atlanta 28, Miami 14
