Teddy Bridgewater has not played in the NFL since the 2015 season, but he is inching closer to a return with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Minnesota Vikings are off to a good start to the 2017 NFL season, and are doing it with a plethora of injuries at the quarterback position. Their former starter, Teddy Bridgewater has not played since the 2015 season due to a devastating knee injury, but he feels he may be able to play this season. The Vikings have been through a couple of quarterbacks since Bridgewater’s injury, including Sam Bradford and Case Keenum

Leonard Fournette has been one of the best running backs in the NFL this season, but he is currently battling an ankle injury. The LSU product does expect to play this weekend, as the Jags take on the Indianapolis Colts in a huge AFC South matchup. If Fournette cannot go, expect the Jaguars to give the ball to Chris Ivory in a more prevalent role on Sunday.

The 2017 NFL Draft was hosted by Philadelphia, and they did one heck of a job putting on a spectacle of the event. In 2018, the scene will stay within the NFC East, as the Dallas Cowboys will play host to the event. The Cowboys always put on a good show, and with their draft prowess in recent years, it makes sense to host the event in Jerry’s World.

The Carolina Panthers have righted the ship this season, and are back to being one of the best teams in the NFC. However, they may be without their top weapon in the passing game this weekend, as Kelvin Benjamin has still yet to practice this week. If he cannot go, Cam Newton will likely lean on Devin Funchess, who is having a breakout season for the Panthers in 2017.

Finally, the NFL laid down the hammer on Pittsburgh Steelers safety Mike Mitchell this past week. During the Steelers win against the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday, Mitchell had a low, cheap hit on Alex Smith. Obviously a dirty play, the NFL hit Mitchell in his wallet for the hit, fining him nearly $50,000.
