We’re getting ready to see the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets square off at MetLife Stadium. Which team will prevail in this contest?
If you told someone that both the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets would each own three wins at this stage of the season, an eyebrow or two may be raised. What’s even more fascinating is the fact that the defending NFC champions are 3-3. There were three straight wins over the NFC North followed by three consecutive losses to the AFC East. This Sunday at MetLife Stadium, Dan Quinn’s club wraps up its tour of duty with this division with a clash with the Green and White.
Oh what could have been for the Jets? In each of their last two games, both against divisional foes, New York squandered 14-point leads to the Patriots and Dolphins. Last week, Todd Bowles’ club gave up 17 unanswered points after owning a 28-14 edge in the fourth quarter at South Florida.
So are the Falcons primed to go winless vs. the AFC East this season?
Odds
Line: Falcons (-4)
Over/Under: 46.5
Despite their three-game losing streak, the Falcons are still favored to handle Bowles’ club. At least that’s what were are seeing from the consensus at the SportsBook Review. We are not looking for a lot of points from either of these teams.

Former Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan is now the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. Regardless, it’s hard to believe that Matt Ryan and the team’s attack has fallen this far. And they will struggle this week against a New York Jets’ defensive unit. It is capable of giving Matt Ryan and company a hard time. But we would also be surprised if Josh McCown has the same success he had a week ago against a very fast Falcons’ defense.
Pick: Falcons 19, Jets 6
