Broncos at Chiefs: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
By Brad Weiss
The Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the Denver Broncos in an exciting AFC West matchup on Monday Night Football to cap Week 8.
It has been a rough couple of weeks for both the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs, who head into their Monday night matchup off two straight losses. The Broncos have had all sorts of issues with their offense, and some were even calling for them to make a change at quarterback. Denver is going to stick with Trevor Siemian under center, but he is going to have one heck of a task ahead of him in primetime inside Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs are always tough at home, but fans of the team have to be worried about the way their defense is playing lately. They were toyed with by the Pittsburgh Steelers two weeks ago and then allowed over 400 yards passing to Derek Carr in their Thursday Night Football matchup against the Oakland Raiders. They will have 11 days to prepare for the Broncos, who are looking to get their season back on track.
The AFC West is going to be a good one, and after getting out to a 5-0 start, the Chiefs are starting to allow teams to creep back into the picture. Oakland’s offense suddenly looks solid, and the Los Angeles Chargers have won three straight, including two against divisional opponents. Kansas City has an opportunity to put more space between them and the rest of the division on Monday night, and the expectation is they will be able to take care of business.
Odds
Line: Denver (+7.0)
Over/Under: 44.0
The Denver Broncos are serious road underdogs in this one, getting seven points from their divisional rival. The over/under is set at 44.0, which may wind up being too high of a number considering the struggles Denver has had on offense recently. This line and over/under has yet to be released, so head on over to Sportsbook Review for any changes up until kickoff.

Kansas City will likely get back on track in this one, as the Broncos just are lost right now on the offensive side of the ball. Denver once again has an elite defense, but even that unit can’t keep this team from staying out of the loss column. Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is having an MVP-type season, and on Monday, he will have his way with the Broncos in a big divisional win.
Final Score: Chiefs 30 Broncos 17
