The Atlanta Falcons will host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon in Week 10. Here is the game preview, the betting odds and a final score prediction.

Week 10 will be in full effect this weekend across the NFL. One of the games of note on Sunday afternoon will be between two NFC teams fighting for playoff spots in the Dallas Cowboys (5-3) and the Atlanta Falcons (4-4). Kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will be at 4:25 p.m. ET on Nov. 12. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be in the booth to call the game for FOX.

Dallas is 5-3 on the year, but still looks like a team that could punch its ticket back into the NFC Playoffs. Being 2.5 games behind the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) doesn’t make winning the division any easier, but the Cowboys could get in as a Wild Card team. Dallas has the defense to complement its offense, even if it is without Ezekiel Elliott this weekend, maybe.

Atlanta is 4-4 on the year and has to win this game, period. The Falcons are two-games back of the arch-rival New Orleans Saints (6-2) in the NFC South. Though Atlanta has five divisional games left on the schedule, the Falcons are running out of opportunities to clinch a playoff berth. Losing four of five games has this team in a rough spot for sure heading into Week 10.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Atlanta -2.5
Moneylines: Atlanta -140, Dallas +135
Over/Under: 50.5

According to OddsShark, the Falcons will be laying 2.5 points at home to the visiting Cowboys. The associated moneylines for this game are Atlanta -140 and Dallas +135. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 50.5 points.

Elliott was again suspended on Thursday afternoon. However, we have a sneaking suspicion that he will somehow be able to play in this game. Since his status for the ball game remains uncertain to this point, that only serves the Cowboys. Atlanta will have to prepare to beat Dallas with or without Elliott.

Frankly, that doesn’t matter because the Falcons are just too inconsistent to beat a good team like the Cowboys. Will we get a good effort out of Atlanta in this game? Of course, but Dallas will prevail in this one by a field goal.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will get the Cowboys in position to attempt a 50-yard field goal near the end of the fourth quarter. Matt Ryan will have his opportunity for a game-winning drive. However, he will get a pass tipped and intercepted to seal Atlanta’s fate. Dallas wins and the point total goes over.

Pick: Cowboys 31, Falcons 28
