Celtics fan is the best Jumbotron dancer ever (Video)
The Boston Celtics lost the basketball game yesterday. It’s important not to lose your head in moments like these. Find some joy. Dance.
Okay, best ever might be a little bit over the top, but we need to be nice to Celtics fans today. After losing Gordon Hayward in the first game of the season, the team hasn’t suffered a lot of losses. That changed Monday night when the Detroit Pistons came in to town to shove an Andre-Drummond-shaped stick into their eye. Tough times for all.
So, what do you do when you’re feeling indescribable pain? Dance, obviously. It worked in the movie Footloose I think. Probably did in Flashdance too. You remember the song “What a Feeling?” Great track.
Speaking of “track,” I’m getting off. During breaks, teams like to do little bits of entertainment for the fans. Sometimes these are good. Usually they’re horrifying. For example, what the hell is happening here?
When these moments don’t satisfy, fans can take the entertainment into their own hands. Or heads, for that matter. This guy, who I’ve decided to call Trent, did exactly that (h/t NBA Reddit):
Wow. Look at Trent go. I liked the part where the head moved to the side.
If nothing else, it’s at least it’s better than when players are the ones dancing.
This is somewhat hypnotic in that it creeps me out and so does the concept of hypnosis. I think there’s some gears or pneumatic pump at work here that we can’t see beneath that jersey. He’s probably wearing sunglasses because of eyes he has some sort of pressure release valves. And look at that smile! It’s fantastic engineering all around.

And if Trent is in fact human, then all the better. The fact he could power through the Celtics giving up a 26 points, 22 rebounds, and six assists to Andre Drummond to smile and perform for the crowd is a testament to the will of man.
