When LeBron posted the Arthur fist, the world needed to know why. Apparently he liked Arthur. And apparently he wasn’t the only Cleveland Cavalier employee who did.
Let’s just skip right to the good stuff. The Cleveland Cavaliers did this, and I feel the need to offer an explanation:
Cavaliers game ops have gone all in on this Arthur thing, huh? pic.twitter.com/en1iZhbIQW

You know how sometimes when you hear a joke for the fifth time, it’s not quite as funny as the first? It’s true. I can demonstrate.
What’s brown and sticky? A stick.
That’s a great joke all around. It’s not a offensive, it takes you one way, and everyone leaves somewhat satisfied. It’s like a dollar menu item from your favorite fast food. It’s wonderful.
What’s brown and sticky? A stick.
Okay, now it’s getting a little played out. I already know the punchline. Two beef and cheese burritos are probably all you want to eat before your stomach starts to disagree.
What’s brown and sticky? A stick, I’ll have you know.
All right. No more of that, please. I’m done. I’m full.
What’s brown and sticky? A beef and cheese burrito being thrown out a car window and an unsuspecting passer by.

Now, the trouble with jokes in a public forum is that what might be the fifth time for you might actually be just the second for someone else. There’s no way to account for every person’s perspective or exposure. For them it’s still fresh. For you, it’s a slow, steady roll into a rather uncomfortable ditch. The setup is the waiting room, and the punchline is the dentist’s chair.
Oh well. We all have to carry on. Memes all die eventually, and they usually live very short lives. Maybe someone out there finds it fun. Maybe that person actually is you. If that’s the case, then that’s fantastic. I want you to have fun. That’s what basketball is for, after all.
