We have you covered for tips, picks and analysis for this Wednesday FanDuel EPL slate. Read to get the best advice to cash this week in soccer DFS.

This is the second of the rare midweek FanDuel EPL slates and is the bigger of the two with 6 games and 12 games to choose from. High flying Man City are at home to Southampton. Liverpool have the cliché cold Wednesday night game in Stoke.

One game I am going to target is the Everton v West Ham match up with the Toffees in free fall there could well be a bunch of goals in this matchup. It is a relegation scrap between two teams who were expecting to challenge for seventh or even more.

Elsewhere Arsenal are at home to Huddersfield where they have won every game this season. Chelsea welcome bottom-three Swansea and Bournemouth host the solid Burnley side.

I’ve decided to change the way I do these articles and rather do a break down by position I want to give you fixtures, flyers and fades. Fixtures are those you need to build your lineups around. Flyers are the gambles and the punts; cheaper or lesser known players in great positions for a break out game. Fades are those you need to avoid; I think who you choose to fade in soccer DFS is more important than in any other DFS sport.

There is always more rotation than usual with midweek games so keep an eye out on the FanDuel site to make sure your picks are starting. I’ll be on Twitter @davidgatesports to chat through lineups from 1:45pm EST. Happy to give advice with any surprises on the team sheets.

Okay FanDuel EPL midweek slate – let’s get it!

FanDuel EPL: Fixtures

There will be goals on this slate. Four of the games are heavily odds on to go over 2.5 goals. This slate will be about getting as many goals and assists into your lineup as possible. The four ‘big 6’ teams on the slate are all in good spots against inferior opposition. I can’t go over the price point for Sadio Mane (8000) and Roberto Firmino (9000) who were rested for Saturday’s game. Most punters will be drawn, rightfully, to Mohamed Salah but you will have to pay up for the Premier League’s top scorer.

Liverpool can’t keep clean sheets or defend set pieces very well, making Xherdan Shaqiri (7500) is a must pick. Everything Stoke do goes through him and he should stack the stat sheet at a very affordable price.

Unless there is some sudden value on the team sheets I will be having Kurt Zouma (6500) and Nathan Ake (5500) as my defensive pair. Zouma is as dependable as it comes and on a bigger slate I like that security. Nathan Ake is in an elite spot for FanDuel defenders against Burnley. There defensive partners Ryan Shawcross (5500) and Steve Cook (5000) are also great picks but have slightly less upside.

My favorite keeper of the day is Jonas Lossl (5500) who has a huge ceiling against Arsenal who  keep the goalkeepers busy at home. Because I want to max out my midfielders and forwards on this slate I will be using Ederson (5000) in many lines. He gives me some savings and is a virtual lock for a clean sheet against a weak Southampton attack.

FanDuel EPL: Flyers

As I said in the intro I will be targeting West Ham against a struggling Everton to provide value and some ownership separation in GPPs. Everton have let in 28 goals in their 12 games, the most in the Premier League. They shipped four goals against Southampton on Sunday which accounts for 30% of the Saints total goals for the season!

Both Hammers forwards Andy Carroll (7000) and Andre Ayew (7500) are in play but I don’t really trust them with so many other good forwards on the slate. However I do love Manuel Lazini (7500) who will take set pieces and is by far their best player and fulcrum of the attack.

Everton will have to go for a win and West Ham are a terrible defense also. Gylfi Sigurdsson (7000) has started to show why they made him the most expensive player in their history. I will have some exposure to the Icelandic playmaker.

James Ward-Prowse (4500) made his first start in a long time against Everton and created 5 chances for 27 FanDuel points. I don’t think he can sustain that against City but he might pick up some more defensive stats instead.

With Ozil missing out with illness Arsene Wenger turned to Alex Iwobi (6000) to compliment the forward line. He did not do very much with the opportunity but the home matchup with Huddersfield should bring a handful of goals for the Gunners. He is dirt cheap with great upside.

Roque Mesa (4000) could start again for Swansea and is a value punt at only $4k.

FanDuel EPL: Fades

I am not going to tell you that you need to fade Man City. I am just telling you that you can. There will be lots of other goals on the slate so you don’t have to pay up for a Man City stack. I’m not keen on the idea of fading them in cash but in GPP there is some real upside and not a ton of risk.

Southampton are a decent defensive side and City did not really look at their best against Huddersfield on Sunday. I expect similar frustrating tactics from the Saints. If I am going to have one City player it would be Gabriel Jesus (11000) who could well start after resting last time out.

I am not huge on Chelsea either on this slate. I think they will win but Swansea have been miserly conceding only 15 goals. Alvaro Morata (11000) and Eden Hazard (10500) worth a look but I would leave other players like Alonso, Fabregas and Azpilicueta as there are better options elsewhere.

The attacking players of Bournemouth, Burnley, Huddersfield, Swansea and Southampton should be avoided in their entirety.

FanDuel EPL DFS Lineups

Note: these are sample lineups and are not optimized. The only guarantee I can give you is that I will playing them too. I will also have some lines that are not here. Best thing is to take some of these picks and build your own lineup – especially in GPP – as lineup sharing only reduces the amount you can win.
