Today’s USMNT news includes Matt Turner being linked with Nottingham Forest and Auston Trusty could be on his way to Sheffield United. Also, Bryan Reynolds has joined Westerlo.

USMNT news: Matt Turner to Nottingham Forest

Matt Turner has managed to keep his place as the USMNT‘s first-choice goalkeeper despite being back-up to Aaron Ramsdale at Arsenal. However, Turner could have the opportunity to play regularly at another Premier League side next season.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that “Nottingham Forest will sign only one GK this summer between Matt Turner and Dean Henderson. Forest already asked Arsenal for final conditions of Turner deal — and it’d be a permanent transfer.”

It would be the easy option to stay at the Gunners. Although, if Turner wants to test himself then he must make the move. He is yet to make an appearance in English soccer’s top flight as he has just played in the FA Cup and Europa League for Mikel Arteta’s side.

USMNT news: Auston Trusty to Sheffield United

Another Arsenal player who should be looking to leave the club in search of regular game time is Auston Trusty. The American had a great spell on loan at Birmingham City in the Championship last season and he could now have an opportunity to move to another Premier League team.

According to the Sheff United Way, “Sheffield United are reportedly interested in the signing of Arsenal defender Auston Trusty.”

The Blades were promoted to English soccer’s top flight last season and need to strengthen if they are to stay in the division.

USMNT news: Bryan Reynolds joins Westerlo

Bryan Reynolds spent last season on loan at Westerlo from Roma and despite being linked with West Ham United, the right-back has opted to join the Belgian side permanently.

A statement on Westerlo’s official website read “Bryan Reynolds has just put his signature on an agreement for a term of four seasons.

“As a loanee from AS Roma, Reynolds has become a fixture in the team of our Kemphanen over the past season. He played 34 matches last season in which he scored once and provided 5 assists. Good luck and welcome back Bryan!”
