Week 13 of the NFL regular season offers one a classic NFC matchup. It’s the Cowboys and Redskins clashing on Thursday Night Football.

There was no Color Rush last week because of Thanksgiving week but we are right back at it with our regularly scheduled Thursday Night Football games. This week features one of the oldest and best rivalries in football as the Washington Redskins head to Dallas to take on their hated rivals. The important NFC matchup will kickoff from AT&T Stadium at 8:25 p.m. ET Thursday night.

I know you’re just as excited as I am, so let’s take a look at the uniforms both teams will be wearing in primetime.

For the home team, the Cowboys will be sporting the all-white Color Rush uniforms, like many teams have done this season. The navy blue adds some pizazz but it’s a pretty basic concept itself. It’s the same Color Rush uniforms the Cowboys have worn the past two years and they’re 1-1 when wearing them.

With the way this team has been trending in recent weeks a win is more crucial now than ever.

Things get a little more controversial on the other side of the ball. The Redskins still haven’t worn their designated Color Rush uniforms and have avoided wearing them the past two seasons. Team president Bruce Allen has called the uniforms garish and he’s not wrong in the slightest.

The burgundy and gold uniforms look closer to mustard than anything else.

Look, I get it. The uniforms are ugly and will certainly garner attention Thursday night, but suck it up and wear them. Color Rush is supposed to be meant for viewing purposes and we need a uniform that can keep us entertained on Thursday night. I and many will be very disappointed if we won’t see these uniforms on the field.

Both the Cowboys and Redskins are looking for crucial wins to stay alive in the playoff race. It’s a heated rivalry between two teams that hate each other and it’ll be a game to tune into this week.
