With Eli Manning being benched in New York, his Giants career looks to be coming to and end. So, what’s next?

The New York Giants announced on Tuesday that Eli Manning would be benched in favor of backup quarterback Geno Smith. With nothing left to lose, the Giants’ season is practically over. New York currently sits at the bottom of the NFC East, and barring an incredible turnaround, will finish last. In division play, that’s the worst finish for the Giants since 2003, the year before Manning was drafted.

Whether or not Manning has had a Hall of Fame career thus far is up to the eyes of the individual. However, there’s no doubting his talent. Yes, Manning has struggled in recent years, but much of that can be attributed to the lack of talent around him. Manning has been the only real weapon on the offensive side of the ball for Ben McAdoo’s squad, besides an injury prone Odell Beckham Jr. With Beckham out the rest of the season, Manning has been tasked with working with little-to-nothing on offense. His offensive line is atrocious, the run game is mediocre and the receiving corps depleted.

Nonetheless, he’s still a competent quarterback. Manning’s 14 touchdowns and 2,400+ yards up to this point show he’s still got something left in the tank. After his 210-consecutive regular-season starts streak ends, his time in New York will seem all but over. But, he can still help another team — all he needs is a little bit of help around him.

In actuality, he may be headed down the same path as his older brother, Peyton; a great career with the original team and moderate success to end his career somewhere else. Furthermore, we may even see Eli finish his career exactly where Peyton did. Here are five possible destinations for Eli Manning:
