Jay Cutler clears protocol, to start against Broncos
Good news for Miami Dolphin fans as their starting quarterback Jay Cutler will return against Denver this week.
Miami already lost their original starting quarterback for the season in Ryan Tannehill, and they were at risk to lose another in Jay Cutler. Luckily that isn’t the case as Dolphins head coach Adam Gase told reporters that Cutler is out of concussion protocol and will play against Denver this week.
Cutler has already dealt with multiple rib fractures earlier this season, causing him to leave a game early and miss one as well, but after missing one game with a concussion, he will return.
Culter hasn’t appeased the fanbase of the Miami Dolphins, and they have a reason to be upset. After Tannehill looked to be improving, the injury costs him the season. Cutler was supposed to be the savior for Miami but hasn’t looked that impressive while doing it.
Cutler has thrown for 1,602 yards this season, throwing 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Fans have wanted veteran backup Matt Moore to get his shot, but even he has struggled this year, going 78-of-127 for 861 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions.
Miami will have to deal with either quarterback as their starter for the rest of the season, and with how the AFC has been this season, anybody can still compete for a playoff spot. Miami is currently the 12th-ranked team in the AFC, but with a few wins, they could possibly be in talks in late December.

If Miami still wants their playoff hopes to be alive, they are going to have to defeat Denver on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. It won’t be easy as Denver is the number three defense in the NFL, and despite their 3-8 record, they are no pushover team.
