Watch LeBron James throw five insane passes in the first quarter

CLEVELAND, OH - DECEMBER 06: LeBron James

LeBron James was dropping dimes on Wednesday.

There are guys that who can get assists and there are guys that are really good passers. Then there are dime droppers. Only a select few of those people fall into that category. Guys like Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Ben Simmons are in this category.

Also in this category is of course LeBron James, and he was showing off all of his passing skill on Wednesday night, handing out a total of nine assists against the Sacramento Kings. It would have been at least 12 assists, but when he was making some amazing passes in the first quarter his teammates couldn’t finish (h/t NBA Reddit).

James does literally everything well so this it’s no surprise he’s making passes like this. Some of these passes though are just insane. When you play with James, your hands had better be ready to catch the ball at all times. Some of the new guys like Jeff Green and Jae Crowder are slowly starting to figure that out.

The three passes to teammates going to the basket are the best. Especially the one to Kevin Love right underneath the basket. Love just received a back screen from Jose Calderon possibly for an opening lob to start the game, but it wasn’t there. Rather than go to the next option James just decides to throw behind Zach Randolph’s head, and tally his first assist of the night. Thankfully Love was actually paying attention. otherwise it would have been a turnover.

James knows where everybody is, and where their going to be at all times, and that’s one of greatest qualities. The guys in the league that are averaging the most assists per game are usually the same way. LeBron can score 30 points whenever he wants, but when he’s decided that he’s going to get his teammates involved first he starts dropping dimes like this.
