Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid gave a candid, but interesting interview on his exchanges with Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony.

After three overtime periods, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in thrilling fashion, 119-117. But during the game and after, words were exchanged between 76ers star Joel Embiid and Thunder stars Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. The first exchange came between Embiid and Anthony late in the fourth quarter.

After the game, Westbrook waved at Embiid as he walked off the court, telling him to “Go Home.”

In his post-game presser, Embiid gave a candid, but entertaining response to Anthony’s and Westbrook’s words toward him.

Embiid had this to saw on Westbrook’s comments, per ESPN:

"“He told me to go home, man. I mean, this is my home, so I guess it’s on him to go home,” Embiid said. “They won the game. I give them a lot of credit — they did a lot of things. But I mean, the dude shot like 10-of-33. I wish I would’ve shot 33 times. I guess we would’ve had a better chance of actually winning the game. But he told me to go home, man. This is my home. I ain’t going nowhere.”"

Westbrook added his two cents:

"“I told him to go home,” Westbrook said. “He was talking mess to Steve-O — [who] fouled out — waving to the crowd, which is unnecessary."

Perhaps, the most interesting but funny quote provided by Embiid from his presser last night is this:

"I’ve seen that a lot all over the place, about people talking about people coming back at me; I’m African, so don’t try me.”"
