Watford started out the season as the most discussed team in the Premier League. Marco Silva had them hitting on all cylinders early on, and Everton even tried to buy him multiple times. While Silva may remain a hot name in the manager market, his team has hit a slide over recent weeks. In the two weeks after a 1-1 draw home to Tottenham, Watford lost to Burnley, Crystal Palace and Huddersfield in a row. Huddersfield in particular was a 4-1 throttling. Against Leicester, Watford could be able to get back on track, even though it won’t be an easy match.

Leicester have been a much better side since Claude Puel took over in late October. They had been on a four game win streak until their disappointing 3-0 to Crystal Palace ended their run. Puel has mixed in Leicester’s signature counter-attack with a more possessive style of soccer. Their usual suspects — Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez — both have five or more goals at the midway point, but it’s been Shinji Okazaki who has shown up recently. The Japanese forward has their second most goals on the season and is playing some of his best soccer.
