Manchester United still sit in second place in the league but are falling even further behind rivals Manchester City. With two consecutive draws against mid table teams Leicester and Burnley, the title is becoming even more out of sight. Now facing a lower level team like Southampton, United should be able to get back on track in the league. Southampton haven’t won since November 26th against Everton. While they have had to face Premier League giants like Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham in four of the seven contests, it won’t get any easier against United. Early on in the season, Southampton’s main cause for concern was the lack of goals they were scoring. Now, they have been giving up too many goals to generate wins. While they should be good enough to avoid relegation, it is something to worry about going forward.
