You may not think that Nicktoons and the G League would cross paths all that often. Spongebob SquarePants and the Delaware 87ers think differently.

No, dad, it’s not embarrassing. It’s actually really cool that the Delaware 87ers are dressing up as SpongeBob Squarepants for a Nickelodeon Night. It’s really cool that they’re doing that.

No, dad. It’s not a joke. I know you don’t understand my sense of humor, but I’m not trying to be funny. This is real! I swear! I saw it on Twitter!

Yeah, yeah, I know that you can’t trust everything you read online, but this guy’s name is Darren, and he has a blue check mark next to his name. Darren is a really trustworthy name, and you’re only allowed to make stuff up when you have a blue check mark if you’re the president. This guy isn’t the president, so you can trust him!

Sure. Fine. Stop looking over my shoulder, and I’ll find it.

No, I don’t want you looking over my shoulder because I’m getting you and mom late Christmas gifts and I don’t want you peeking, not because I’m trying to hide my search history. I clear out my history every time I bypass the parental filter anyway.

Yeah. That was my sense of humor you don’t understand. You don’t get me. Anyways, look at this jersey:

See? I told you! That’s the Delaware 87ers jersey, but it looks like SpongeBob SquarePants! It’s really cool, right?

Fine, you don’t have to think it’s cool, but it’d be nice if you’d at least believe me about this stuff more often. Remember when I told you that Durant was going to the Warriors, and you told me “I’d sooner chew staples than believe that Durant is a coward?” Remember how bloody your mouth got?

Yeah. So can we go?
