The point spread is in for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game with Alabama opening as a small favorite over Georgia.

The early line for the National Championship Game is in, and the line is not looking good for the Georgia Bulldogs. According to RJ Bell, the betting line for the National Championship game is Alabama by -5.5 over Georgia. The line from Las Vegas Sportsbook is a little smaller at -4 but still has Alabama favored.

Let us be real here. How really think that the Bulldogs will have a chance to pull out the upset of the century if Alabama can hold on and win the Sugar Bowl?

Yes, Georgia just pulled out an upset of Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma Sooners, but the Crimson Tide is a different animal altogether. For starters, their defense is lightyears better than Oklahoma’s, and it will be a great test for Georgia’s freshmen quarterback, Jake Fromm.

Second, Alabama’s offense is just as potent as Georgia’s, and if the Bulldogs don’t shore up that defense that allowed Oklahoma’s offense to run wild until the end of the game, it could be a long day for the hometown Bulldogs.

We’re not saying that Georgia doesn’t have a shot. We all believe in miracles and underdogs, but the fact of the matter is that Alabama is a much more well-rounded team than the Bulldogs, and you have to factor that in..

Naturally, some were pretty upset with the line:

While some agreed:

That’s natural, but the facts are the facts here. Georgia has had a remarkable year, but Alabama is a tad bit better than the Bulldogs in every arena. I don’t believe in this line, I think it needs to be larger.

The Bulldogs are not ready for the Tide that’s washing in.
