By Joe Schiller
The 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl kicks off the college football offseason with a bang next Saturday. Here’s a look at the team rosters for the North and South teams.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl is the biggest college football All-Star game this offseason. With the combine and pro days around the corner, this is a chance for players to significantly increase their draft stock heading into the NFL draft. An event which has been operated since 1950, the Senior Bowl has produced plenty of NFL talent over the year.
Team practices start on Tuesday but the game will kickoff from Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama on Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. E.T. It’s a chance for seniors to spend a week working with NFL coaches while general managers and scouts watch from the distance. Players are separated into either the North or South side and here’s a look at the official rosters for both teams.
Vance Joseph and the Denver Broncos staff will coach the North team while Bill O’Brien and the Houston Texans staff will coach the South. These two teams have an advantage working up close and personal with these players.
Some noteworthy players on the North team include Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen. The Broncos will be looking to target a quarterback in the first round and these two are on the list. Other names include Oklahoma defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Penn State tight end Mike Gesicki and NC State running back Jaylen Samuels.
The South team is just as loaded with talent. Bill O’Brien and his staff will get to work with UCF outside linebacker Shaquem Griffen, South Dakota St. tight end Dallas Goedert and UTSA defensive end Marcus Davenport.
