Manchester City take their new three-match unbeaten streak into the match against Leicester on Saturday. City were beaten for the first time by Liverpool in mid-January to end their dream of an unbeaten season. Still, all signs point to them being the runaway Premier League winners as they’re still 13 points ahead of second place. Their main focus at this point will be on the Champions League as the round of 16 starts in a few weeks. Guardiola strengthened his squad by purchasing defender Aymeric Laporte in January, shoring up what might’ve been City’s only weakness. It would take an epic collapse to even make this a race at this point.
Leicester have only lost once in their past five matches, a 2-1 away defeat to Everton. Claude Puel took over a few months ago and has taken the Foxes into eighth place in the table, just a point behind Burnley in seventh. The last time these two clubs faced off City won 2-0, with goals just before and after halftime. Leicester were a completely different side then, and could pull off an upset this time around. Jamie Vardy has scored in consecutive matches, and Leicester will probably need anther to pull it off.
