Olympic curling: Mixed doubles bronze medal Russia vs. Norway results and highlights
Congratulations are in order for the Olympic Athletes of Russia for winning the bronze medal in mixed doubles curling.
For the first time, the Olympics handed out a medal in mixed doubles curling. Firsts are always noteworthy achievement but Olympic firsts are extra noteworthy. The Olympic Athletes of Russia came away with a hard-fought 8-4 win over Norway.
Things got tense after the sixth end with Norway threatening to make a comeback against Anastasia Bryzgalova and Aleksandr Krushelnitckii but they just couldn’t pull off the comeback to make Olympic history.
Curling has quickly become one of the most popular events at the Winter Olympics and that means there were plenty of eyes watching the two teams compete for the bronze. The Olympics app and live streams were working overtime so fans from across the world and especially in the competing countries could watch their countries battle for the bronze.

Canada and Switzerland will compete for the gold in the mixed doubles curling event Tuesday morning. You’ll want to make sure you tune into NBC or NBCSN or watch online through the Olympics event so you can watch the live stream.
Curling is quickly becoming one of my personal favorites as it combines elements of a few different sports for one incredible event. What may have been perceived as a novelty event when it first became an Olympic event, with many critics lamenting its inclusion has since become a big ratings driver and many fans staying up late at night to watch.
