Witnessing the resurrection of the Nuggets and other playoff race miracles
By Keith Parish
While it seems as if all the regular season awards have already been decided, the playoff race in the Western Conference is anything but. Following a miraculous rally against the Bucks on Easter Sunday, the Nuggets brought their postseason hopes back to life. And if Denver wins their next two games (home against the Timberwolves and at the Clippers), it’s reasonably possible that we could see a massive traffic jam in the standings.
On the newest episode of Fastbreak Breakfast, we examine this playoff race, try to figure out who will get in, plus discuss an incredible number of other NBA topics, including:
- Has social media caused people to agree too much on Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of Year, Coach of the Year and the other awards?
- If the Sixers don’t win a playoff series, how will their fans view their season?
- Where should Quin Snyder be placed in the hierarchy of NBA coaches? Is it possible to separate his success from Rudy Gobert’s?
- What would have happened with the Eastern Conference if Reggie Jackson had stayed healthy all year?
- Was there anything dishonorable about the Grizzlies’ decision to not play Marc Gasol in the 4th quarter against the Jazz after he put up 28 points on 11-12 shooting in the first three quarters?
- Does any team need to acquire Hassan Whiteside?
