The Gunners have enjoyed back-to-back 3-0 victories, over Watford and Stoke. Sitting sixth in the Premier League table, Arsenal have no chance at cracking the top four this season. They are, however, only five points behind Chelsea for fifth. Supplanting their London rivals is very much within reach, especially given Chelsea’s poor form. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice, and gave up a penalty shot to teammate Alexandre Lacazette to help build his confidence. Hopefully the strike pair can continue hitting on all cylinders as the Gunners look to close out the season.

Southampton, in stark contrast, are fighting merely to stay up in the Premier League next season. Their attempt to escape the bottom three has proved futile thus far, as they currently sit in 18th place on the table. Two points separate Saints from safety. They need every point possible if they want to keep themselves from dropping to the Championship. A tough match on the road against Arsenal isn’t the easiest of situations to be in. However, with their backs against the wall, Southampton should not be taken lightly.  They’re playing for their lives now; hopefully they show that desire on Sunday.
