After a disappointing week at Augusta, the four-time Masters champion Tiger Woods finally found success at the 15th hole.

Heading into the 2018 Masters Tournament many oddsmakers had Tiger Woods penciled in as one of the favorites to take home the green jacket. Unfortunately for Woods, the first few rounds did not go his way. He struck the ball well but had difficulty finding the correct line on the greens.

In the opening rounds, Woods made a total of five birdies over 36 holes. Those birdies were coupled with regular bogeys to barely usher Woods in under the cut-line at 4-over. On Saturday, Woods turned in his first even par round of the week to gain a measure of momentum heading into Sunday.

Over his opening nine holes Woods made three birdies accompanied by three bogeys to take the turn at even par for the day. A birdie at the par-3 13th began to heat things up on the back nine. As Woods approached the par-5 15th he came in with confidence at the tee.

His second shot found the green with ease but left Woods a tough breaking putt. With Woods knowledge of the course and workable greens this Sunday Woods stepped up and made a clean steady stroke. Woods watched intently as the putt broke the right and tracked all the way into the bottom of the cup for the first eagle of his tournament.

While he may not be in contention down the stretch, an under-par day and back to even par or better for the 2018 Masters would certainly be considered an improvement for Woods. After missing out on playing Augusta the past three years, Woods’ return to the game has been much better than many expected. As he continues to improve it may be only a matter of time before we see Woods back in the winner’s circle.
