Watford and Crystal Palace are both inching towards survival as the Premier League season nears its conclusion. With four games remaining, Watford are 12th with 37 points, three points ahead of Crystal Palace. The Eagles are 16th, six points ahead of Southampton and the relegation zone.
Watford fell 1-0 to Huddersfield in their last game, their four loss in five games. Javi Garcia has struggled since taking over in late January. The Hornets have picked up only 11 points in 10 games under Garcia. Watford have scored 42 goals, the eighth most in the Premier League. Abdoulaye Doucoure leads the club with seven goals and has attracted the interest of some of the bigger clubs about a potential move this summer. Defensively, Watford have been awful the entire season. Only Stoke have conceded more goals than the Hornets.
After losing seven straight games to start the season, it is incredible that Crystal Palace will likely survive relegation. Palace defeated Brighton 3-2, giving the Eagles four points in the last two games. Wilfried Zaha scored twice against Brighton, giving him seven goals this season. Luka Milivojevic leads Palace with 10 goals this season. Palace will need Zaha or Milivojevic to create offense if they are going to win. Another win for Palace would move them that much closer to clinching a spot in the Premier League next season.
