Kevin Hart played himself and the 76ers during Game 2

Kevin Hart’s trash-talking didn’t go so well for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Actor/comedian/Celebrity Game legend/Philly native Kevin Hart has been one of the Philadelphia 76ers’ biggest superfans during their run into the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Hart rang the bell before Game 2 of the Sixers’ first-round series against the Miami Heat, and he cheered on Meek Mill when the rapper rang the bell before Game 5. You can often see Hart going wild while rooting for the Sixers from courtside seats.
That’s where Hart was for Philly’s Game 2 tilt against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. Let’s just say things didn’t go so well for Hart and his beloved Sixers.
Things started well enough. After getting smoked in Game 1, Philly appeared to turn the tables in Game 2. The Sixers ran out to a 48-26 lead midway through the second quarter, and they led 51-31 when Jaylen Brown air-balled a free throw and the TNT cameras caught Hart laughing and pointing:
The Celtics promptly went on a huge run to go into the half down only five points.
But wait, there’s more!

The Sixers went down by eight points in the third quarter, only to fight back and regain the lead in the fourth quarter. After Joel Embiid hit a big 3-pointer to put Philly up two with just under eight minutes remaining, Hart had some words for the Celtics faithful that TNT again caught on camera:

The Sixers went up by five points moments later, then got roasted the rest of the way to lose 108-103. The Celtics have never lost a best-of-seven series when up 2-0, so things aren’t looking too good for Philly. And given the Sixers lost Game 2 against the Heat when Hart rang the bell, perhaps they should avoid giving him that honor in one of the upcoming games against Boston.
Congratulations, Kevin Hart. You played yourself.
