1. Jose Abreu

The burly White Sox first baseman would provide the same punch in the middle of the Dodgers lineup that Moustakas would. He’d just do it from the opposite side of the infield.

Acquiring Abreu would allow the Dodgers to continue to play Cody Bellinger in their outfield. His athleticism is wasted at first. More importantly, moving Bellinger to the outfield gives the team an opportunity to sit either Chris Taylor or Yasiel Puig.

Abreu is currently hitting .306 with eight home runs in the middle of the White Sox lineup. At 12 and 30, Chicago’s AL team isn’t anywhere near a playoff spot. That means they are more than willing to part with their 31-year-old slugger for the right price.

Like Moustakas, Abreu is also only on a one-year deal with his current team. It’s very possible the Dodgers would look at him almost certainly as a rental. Spending big money on a player of his age with such a limited track record would be risky at best.

Abreu is probably the most likely player on this list to end up in Dodger blue. His presence in the middle of their lineup could do a lot to lift their moribund offense.
