The Denver Nuggets have decided it was time to upgrade their uniforms.
The Denver Nuggets picked a weird time to debut to the world their new look. Then again, when has Denver ever followed the NBA norms?
At 8:31 PM, Mountain Time, the Nuggets Twitter account showed the NBA world their new logo and uniforms. I guess the team’s social media team figured their fans didn’t care about watching Game 3 of the NBA Finals; they just wanted to see what uniforms their beloved Nuggets will be sporting next season, and the new threads are sweet.

There will be two uniforms for the away games. One will feature the standard navy blue with a white trim, with the word “Denver” spelled across in their trademark orange. The alternate, or “City Edition” uniform will have the city’s nickname, “Mile High City,” circle around the jersey number. The City Edtion will be standard blue with a red trim collar and shorts matching the new logo for the Nuggets, which is a flashback to the team’s early years.
The one that really didn’t feel all that impressive was the home uniforms. It’s the standard white with navy blue trim, but the team’s name will be emboldened in red, which is somewhat odd.
The new uniforms are a much-needed update from their previous ones, which were beginning to reach its sell-by date. The redesign includes some subtle tweaking of the color scheme as well, which is nice. As for the fan reaction? In the words of Conner4Real would say, let’s call it “mixed reviews:”

There were some fans that did point out the odd timing of the reveal:

So, yea, the feeling in Nuggets Nation (if that’s a thing) is mixed. What do you think about the Nuggets new uniforms?
