Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is the centerpiece of the Warriors dynasty, the greatest shooter to ever live, and the engine that makes the team go, raising its ceiling to a place few teams have ever approached. He is a two-time MVP, and the only player to ever win the award unanimously, which he did following his unbelievable 2015-16 season. Yet, somehow, he has not yet won Finals MVP, losing out to Andre Iguodala in 2015 and Kevin Durant the previous two seasons.

Curry likely should have won in 2015 as he handily led the Warriors in both points and assists, but it went to Iguodala as it was his insertion into the starting lineup that turned the tide of the series. Anyone who claims his lack of a Finals MVP is due to choking or a lack of the proverbial clutch gene has not watched him very closely for in all four of his Finals appearances, Curry has put up very good numbers and often looked like the best player on the court. Considering how good the Warriors still look at their best, it’s entirely likely that Curry will get another chance, or three, to finally win a Finals MVP of his own in the coming years.
