Sylvia Fowles battles for the ball with Candace Parker, either one make a fine option for tonight’s WNBA DFS.

GAME NOTES – PHO @ IND

This game is packed with narrative. Former teammates, married couples, and half-siblings will all battle it out when these two teams meet for the first time this season. This may not be the best game on the slate to target because of the high point spread, but it should be a fun game to watch.

KEY PLAYERS

  • Diana Taursi – Her price tag is a little high for me, I would rather spend my money in the paint tonight.  I will have a little bit of exposure to her in GPPs, but I think there are safer cash plays on the board, despite her recent consistency.
  • DeWanna Bonner – Bonner started off the season hot, but has struggled to hit value lately. . She will facing off against her wife tonight (Candice Dupree) for the first time in their careers tonight. I expect some extra motivation from her in this game, her but until the price comes down I will continue fading her.
  • Britney Griner – The most expensive player on Fanduel tonight. Indiana gives up 4.1 blocks per game. She is my favorite Mercury player tonight, but there are other forwards on the slate I want more exposure too.
  • Candice Dupree – Decent cash game option. Her minutes have stayed above 30 in the last 3 games. She lacks the peripheral stats though to make her a top play most nights. There a better GPP options on the slate tonight in her price range.

VALUE PICKS: Leilani Mitchell (if January sits)

GAME NOTES – CHI @ NY

The Liberty return home after losing last night on the road to the  Washington Mystics at the buzzer. Epiphanny Prince led the way in the backcourt and Charles and Vaughn had a good game up front but it wasn’t enough in the end. Chicago is looking for their 3rd straight win, New York is hoping to snap a 4 game losing streak.

KEY PLAYERS

  • Tina Charles – Chicago is weak on the glass, and  they give up a good amount of block and steals per game. I worry about her minutes on a back-to-back but this game should stay close enough to keep her on the floor.
  • Courtney Vandersloot – She has only had 2 good games this season, her assists are up in the last 2 games but so is her price. I’ll pass.
  • Allie Quigley – She has been shooting the ball well as of late, scoring over 20 points in her last 3 games. That said, due to her lack of other production on the court she makes a risky play.
  • Stefanie Dolson

    –  She looks to be fully healthy again, playing 30 minutes in her last game. She has also had 5 blocks in her last 2 games. She lacks a bit in the scoring department though, failing to score over 13 points  in a game so far this season.

    VALUE PICK: Kia Vaughn

GAME NOTES – ATL @ MIN

The Dream are in the middle of a 3 game road trip and will be playing without Elizabeth Williams, who didn’t travel with team to Minneapolis. The Lynx are looking for their 6th straight win in a  row and are 4-2 at home this season. Atlanta is ranked last in the league in scoring with 74.21 ppg. Both teams sit near the top of the league in rebounds per game, but with Williams out I expect Minnesota to clean up on the glass tonight.

    KEY PLAYERS

    • Slyvia Fowles – One of my favorite plays on the slate tonight. She will be going for her 5th straight double double in a row.  She is the most expensive player on DraftKings tonight. I am willing to pay up for her high ceiling.
    • Maya Moore – Her price jumped up a bit on DraftKings but she has been one of most consistent WNBA DFS options this year. She usually makes a better cash play but has the potential to fill up the stat sheet any given night.
    • Rebekkah Brunson – She has played at least 30mins in her last  4 games. She rebounds well, but will need to shoot the ball more to hit value today.
    • Angel McCoughtry – After a monster game on 6/19 she has come back down to earth scoring just 6 points in her last game. She is too risky for cash and rarely hits GPP value.
    • Jessica Breland – Her minutes have been down the last few games but I expect her to be more involved tonight with Williams out. I still think her price is way too high tonight though.
    • Tiffany Hayes – Questionable with an ankle injury. Keep an eye on her status, if she comes back tonight I will have some exposure to her.

    VALUE PICK: Damiris Dantas

GAME NOTES – LA @ LV

The Sparks and Aces will square off for the first time this season in tonight’s late game. LA currently sits on top of the Western Conference,  Las Vegas on the bottom.  The Sparks rank dead last in rebounding and pace, but lead the league in FG %  and steals. The Aces lead the league in pace and the Sparks played late last night. If they can keep the Sparks on their heels tonight, they may keep the game closer than people think.

    KEY PLAYERS:

    • Candace Parker – Has had 3 good games in a row. If Ogwumike misses again tonight she should hit value again in an up tempo game. Her price tag has risen a bit but I don’t mind paying it for cash or GPPs tonight.
    • A’ja Wilson – Had a monster game her last time out with 22pts and 15rebs. I like her price on both sites tonight and willl have a fair amount of exposure to her this evening.
    • Kayla McBride -After dropping 38pts on 14-22 shooting last night her price tag has stayed the same. Between her and Wilson they took 41 shot attempts, the rest of the team combined for 30. Fatigue doesn’t worry me too much, Vegas is a young team hungry to prove themselves in their first year in the league.
