2018 MLB All-Star Game – National League roster: Starters, pitchers, reserves and Final Vote
The roster is set for the National League for the 2018 All-Star Game that sees Bryce Harper and Max Scherzer representing the Nationals with the game in D.C.
The Senior Circuit has a loaded lineup and a deep stable of arms when they take the field for the 2018 All-Star Game next Tuesday. MLB revealed the starters for the Midsummer Classic that takes place on July 17 in Washington D.C., at the home of the Nationals.
Bryce Harper and Max Scherzer were among the Nationals selected for the game and it’s a good bet that Scherzer will be named the starter by Dodgers manager Davey Roberts. Some other familiar faces will be in attendance, including Nolan Arenado, Freddie Freeman and a pair of Cubs, Javy Baez and Willson Contreras who make their first All-Star Game.
Sean Doolittle is the third Nationals player to make the squad and could be tasked with getting the final three outs if the NL has the lead in the ninth inning. And there could be a fourth member of the Nationals making the game as Trea Turner was named one of the finalists for the Final Vote to earn the final spot on the roster.
