Falcons at Jets live stream: TV schedule, time and more
The New York Jets will host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1 of the preseason on Friday night. Here is how to watch this NFL exhibition game online.
As Week 1 of the NFL preseason wraps up, the Jets will play host the Falcons in a game that will feature two notable draft picks from this past draft.
For the Jets, we’ll finally get a look at quarterback Sam Darnold, who the Jets took with the No. 6 overall pick. Darnold, though, is surrounded by some veteran competition on the Jets, with Teddy Bridgewater and expected starter Josh McCown looming.
But not so fast. Darnold has a shot.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Darnold “has a very fair shot” at winning the starting quarterback job, despite his belief it will be a “huge challenge“.
Of course, preseason will be a factor in that final call.
The Falcons also drafted arguably the best wide receiver in the entire 2018 class, Calvin Ridley. He will go alongside Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu.
Ridley has dealt with some hamstring injuries earlier in training camp, but he quickly returned to practice.
With Ridley, Sanu and Jones in the fold, quarterback Matt Ryan will have a plethora of different targets at his disposable this upcoming season.
However, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see Ryan throw the ball to him, as we probably won’t see much of him if anything at all.
Instead, we’ll most likely see a mix of Matt Schaub, Kurt Benkert and Garrett Grayson.
Date: Friday, Aug. 10
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: East Rutherford, New Jersey
Venue: MetLife Stadium
TV Info: NFL Network
Live Stream: NFL Game Pass, FuboTV
Darnold has a shot to try and edge out his veteran comrades. Ridley will showcase why being drafted at No. 25 was later than he should have been taken. This will be yet another game with two exciting rookie prospects at the forefront.
And it will be all over national television.
