Minnesota Timberwolves: Jimmy Butler hangs over the entire season

Yeah…the Wolves need to do something about this. Butler doesn’t want to come back, and the situation might be about to get really awkward. If he remains on the roster into the season, does he refuse to play? Does he pull a Vince Carter and just not try until he’s out the door? And if they do trade him, the Wolves will once again be left to wonder how far Karl-Anthony Towns can take a franchise. The Butler trade seemed like a massive victory for the Wolves at the time, but now, it’s a cautionary example of how nothing is certain in this league.
