Detroit Pistons: The team can’t coalesce around Blake Griffin

Why do you trade for Blake Griffin? Because hey, look, your team has Blake Griffin now! That said, the Pistons didn’t win anymore once he showed, and it’s reasonable to question if there’s enough of a team behind him for him to take the Pistons anywhere. Remember how much we loved Reggie Jackson three years ago? Remember how dominant we thought Andre Drummond would be? Yeah, things haven’t quite worked out. As long as Griffin stays healthy, the production is going to be there. The question is whether he can raise up his middling teammates along with him.
